During hot Armenian summers, most children lack access to safe and supervised recreation – many try to cool off in unhygienic areas such as polluted rivers and public fountains. With the increased privatization of public spaces, children also lack clean and safe playgrounds to stay active. Aquatics Armenia was founded to respond to this need.

With donated land, we intend to build state-of-the art facilities, including swimming pools, playgrounds and green spaces – constructed to be handicap-accessible, environmentally sustainable, and designed for maximum participation. Our facilities and programs will be available for use by local residents at a nominal cost; in some cases at no cost. Aquatics Armenia facilities will also serve as “community centers” – providing up-to-date information on athletic, social, and public health issues and services.
